Beyond the Trees hosts Camp Borealis at Surprise Lake Camp, 53112 Range Road 153, Yellowhead County, Alberta, on the east side of Sang Lake. The venue is east of Edson and south of Highway 16 via Range Road 153. The Edson postal box and the operator’s Edmonton office are separate from the camp venue.
The historical 2026 overnight camp dates were July 19–23, with a day-camp option July 20–22. Both formats are for ages 5–17. These dates describe the 2026 program; a 2027 season is unconfirmed. Beyond the Trees’ 2026 venue update and Surprise Lake’s own history page both identify Borealis as a hosted camp at this property.
Camp Borealis offers an inclusive setting for children and teens, welcoming first-time and returning campers. Activities include canoeing, hiking, storytelling, arts and crafts, outdoor education and campfire experiences. The program emphasizes confidence, friendships, connection with nature and opportunities to unplug. Snacks and meals are included according to the operator’s camp information.
Choose the day or overnight format with the operator and confirm current dates, availability, individual support needs, packing requirements and any activity changes before attendance.
