Camp Fircom has announced 2027 summer overnight youth and leadership programmes at its own site on the southeast corner of Gambier Island, British Columbia. Water taxis connect the island with Horseshoe Bay. Contact info@fircom.ca or 604-662-7756 for programme suitability and arrangements.

Kids camps use grades COMPLETED in the 2026/2027 school year. Scamper Camp is for completed Grade 1 or 2 (published ages 6–8), July 26–28 or August 9–11, 2027. Junior Camp is for completed Grade 3 or 4 (ages 8–10); Senior Kids Camp is for completed Grade 5 or 6 (ages 10–12). Junior and Senior each offer July 12–16, July 26–30 and August 9–13, 2027.

Teen Camp is for completed Grades 7–9 in 2026/2027, published ages 12–15, on July 12–16, July 26–30 or August 9–13, 2027. The operator asks each teen to register for only ONE Teen Camp week. Teens may also register for Polaris or attend eligible family programmes with a parent.

Polaris Adventure runs July 18–23 and August 1–6, 2027, ages 13–16; the programme overview also specifies completed Grades 8–11. Polaris Ultimate runs August 15–20, 2027, ages 14.5–16, with the additional requirement to turn 15 by December 31, 2027. Ultimate includes 3–4 nights away from the base. Polaris participants must be prepared for a four-hour hike with substantial elevation gain and a two-to-five-hour paddle; pack suitable active clothing, layers and running or hiking footwear.

Junior Leaders in Training must be 15 by July 11, 2027, and attend BOTH July 18–23 and August 1–6. Senior Leaders in Training must be 16 by July 11, 2027, attend June 11–13 training and ALL three Kids Camp weeks: July 12–16, July 26–30 and August 9–13. Senior participation is by invitation and is intended for teens with foundational childcare/leadership skills or prior Junior training. Age-eligible teens apply as Seniors even without Junior completion. Both programmes involve evaluation and a possible interview; registration does not guarantee acceptance. Accepted LITs cannot attend as regular campers during off-weeks except the third Polaris week. Senior self-check-in/out requires the guardian permission form; Juniors require guardian sign-in/out.

Activities vary by programme and include archery, paddling, swimming, nature and garden exploration, crafts, outdoor games, campfires and leadership workshops. Polaris adds hiking, outdoor cooking, fire-building and overnight trips. Shared accommodations are all-gender, with private changing areas. Legal guardians sign campers in/out unless advance written permission has been provided. Confirm programme-specific boat and optional bus arrangements; Scamper campers must be collected at Horseshoe Bay on Wednesday because no return bus is offered.

Fircom is nut- and allergy-aware, cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment and is not a wheat-free kitchen. Declare all allergies during registration and discuss multiple dietary restrictions with staff. Campers have no routine phone/internet access; emergency contact goes through the office. General 2027 registration is announced for November 14, 2026, with earlier access November 7 for 2026 attendees; LIT selection has its own process. Interested age-eligible Junior LITs may register or waitlist from November 7, 2026. Confirm current packing, health and participation requirements directly.
