Camp Kawkawa hosts overnight youth, teen, family and leadership camps at 66706 Kawkawa Lake Road in Hope, British Columbia. These are historical 2026 schedules, not confirmed 2027 dates. This Christian camp includes chapel, campfires and cabin devotions alongside recreation and outdoor activities.
2026 youth sessions: Youth Camp 1, ages 8–11, July 5–9; Youth Camp 2, ages 10–13, July 12–16; Youth Camp 3, ages 7–10, July 19–22; Youth Camp 4, ages 9–12, July 25–28. Teen Camp serves ages 13–17, August 7–11. Arrival is 6 p.m. on the first day. Youth Camps 1 and 2 finish at 7 p.m.; Youth Camps 3 and 4 finish at 4:30 p.m.; Teen Camp finishes at 7 p.m. Supper is not provided on arrival day, so campers should eat before coming; an evening snack is provided.
2026 Leaders in Training, ages 15–18, runs July 5–16, from 6 p.m. on the first day to 7 p.m. on the last. The two-week program begins with leadership training and then shadowing a counsellor. It has 12 places. Applications are reviewed, acceptance is not guaranteed, and accepted participants must complete a criminal record check. Payment is requested after acceptance. Returning to assist as a counsellor is encouraged for successful participants and is a separate arrangement.
2026 Work Crew is available during all camp weeks for ages 13 and older. This service and faith-development program has 14 places each week, described as seven girls and seven boys. Participants help with dishes, housekeeping, landscaping and maintenance, join devotionals and camp activities, and have dedicated tubing and waterfront time. Multiple weeks are permitted, with evaluation and opportunities for growth. Follow the operator’s application process; contact camp about individual eligibility and availability rather than assuming admission.
2026 Family Camp runs July 31 at 6 p.m. through August 4 at 2 p.m. Families of all ages are included, with published fee bands for ages 12+, 4–11 and children 3 and younger. The maximum family fee covers up to six immediate family members; that fee rule is not a maximum age for attendance. Family activities, worship and evening programs are offered; confirm family supervision and any babysitting arrangements directly with camp.
Activities vary by program and include swimming, tubing, canoeing, kayaking, archery, riflery, archery tag, games, inflatables, bouldering, crafts and Christian teaching. Waterskiing carries an additional charge. Waterfront access requires staff, and entering the water during waterfront time requires a lifeguard. Campers take a swim test; those identified as weaker swimmers must wear a lifejacket. Properly fitted lifejackets are required for boating, including canoeing, kayaking and tubing.
The 2026 handbook requires a care card number or out-of-province medical insurance number for every child before they may remain at camp. Complete medical and dietary information, give medications to the nurse at registration and discuss allergies directly; the operator describes camp as nut free. Campers must be signed out by an adult with photo identification, with advance notice if someone else will collect them. Phones and other electronics are not permitted. The age search combines several distinct programs, including all-age family camp; the exact session rules above determine eligibility. Consult the official site for current registration, policies and future schedules.
