Butterfield Acres hosts outdoor farm summer day camps at 254077 Rocky Ridge Road NW, Calgary, Alberta. Children learn through hands-on animal care, farm chores, outdoor games, crafts, pony and wagon experiences, and farm exploration, with covered barn spaces for shelter. Activities vary by age and ability.
The operator’s four camp groups are Little Farmers (ages 4–6), Farm Explorers (6–8), Junior Ranchers (8–11) and Farmers-in-Training (12–14). All campers must be fully toilet trained before their first camp day. Farmers-in-Training adds more detailed animal care, record keeping and leadership opportunities.
A verified historical registration table lists August 24–28, 2026: ages 4–6 and 6–8 attended 9:30 a.m.–3:30 p.m.; ages 8–11 and 12–14 attended 8:30 a.m.–3:30 p.m. That week was marked full. The current catalogue no longer displays dated sessions; equivalent 2027 dates and hours have not been confirmed.
Before and after care are available separately. Pack a nut-free lunch and snacks, water bottle, sun hat, sunscreen, rainwear, spare clothing and closed-toe shoes or boots. Families should review the operator’s camp policies and confirm current availability and support requirements.
