Camp Miriam has announced 2027 overnight summer programs at its 20-acre waterfront camp on Gabriola Island, British Columbia. This Jewish, youth-led camp combines outdoor activities, arts, music, dance, sports and community life with Jewish culture, learning about Israel and social justice. The Vancouver office is an administrative location, not the camp venue. Contact registrar@campmiriam.org or 604-266-2825 for registration, travel arrangements and individual eligibility questions.

Eligibility in the published 2027 table is based on the grade the camper is completing, not a numeric age. First Session for completing Grades 5–9 runs July 4–22; Second Session for completing Grades 5–9 runs July 27–August 17. Amelimot and Chalutzimot for completing Grade 3 or 4 run July 4–16 or July 27–August 8. Nitzanimot is specifically for first-time campers completing Grade 2 or 3: First Nitzanimot Alef, July 4–11; First Nitzanimot Bet, July 16–22; or Second Nitzanimot, July 27–August 1. Two-Session Bonimot is for completing Grade 9, July 4–August 17. SoDo is for completing Grade 10, August 4–11. Each camper may register for one session only; Two-Session Bonimot is the named combined program. Partial-session applications are not accepted.

Madatz leadership training is listed for youth completing Grade 11, June 30–August 18, 2027. The program requires full participation, two application components and an interview; an acceptance committee selects participants, so applying does not guarantee admission. Madatz remain at camp during the break between sessions. The dedicated Madatz page still displays 2026 dates and an old application deadline: confirm the 2027 application deadline and requirements with the registrar. The 2027 registration table supplies the dates above.

The outdoor program includes age-group overnight trips, with hiking, camping and, for selected older groups, canoeing or kayaking. Campers are expected to participate in their assigned trip. Under the published Tiyul Policy, a camper unable to take that trip may join a younger group only when safety, ability and space allow. If no suitable trip is available, the camper must go home for that period and cannot remain at camp; the family pays the travel costs. Families should discuss anticipated needs with the operator early.

For 2027, full payment is due April 5 and required forms April 19. Prescription medication forms require a physician signature; a parent or guardian may sign for non-prescribed over-the-counter medication, vitamins or supplements. All campers need a current health insurance number, and non-BC campers need travel insurance when their usual insurance lacks travel coverage. A camper previously sent home is considered individually. The camp does not permit mobile phones or other Wi-Fi-enabled devices. Confirm current medical, packing, transport and accommodation arrangements with the registrar.
