Camp Summit has announced 2027 overnight summer programs at its Upper Squamish Valley property, 14051 Squamish Valley Road, Mile 18, British Columbia. Its PO Box 48 is a mailing address. Call 604-898-3700 or email rianne@campsummit.ca. The camp offers outdoor adventures, creativity and leadership development. Grade-based eligibility uses the grade the camper was in on September 1, 2026, at the start of the 2026–2027 school year. Do not substitute a numeric age for that grade requirement.
The 2027 programs are Base Camp, ages 4–6, August 27–29; Discovery Camp, Grades 1–5, August 22–26; Summer Blast, Grades 2–8, July 3–9, July 12–18, August 5–11 or August 14–20; and Adventure Challenge, Grades 5–8, July 21–August 2. Adventure Challenge welcomes new and returning campers, with no previous hiking or camping experience required. It includes a multi-night backcountry trip. Base Camp offers activities tailored to younger campers, including crafts, nature walks, baking, field games, archery, stories and campfires.
Senior Leadership Challenge 1 is for Grade 9: July 3–15, July 18–30, August 3–15 or August 17–29, 2027. It includes a five-day qathet canoe expedition and a cabin-shadowing day. Senior Leadership Challenge 2 is for Grade 10: July 7–27, July 25–August 14 or August 9–29. It includes a six-day Juan de Fuca hiking trip, leadership workshops and a week of practical cabin placement. These expedition programs develop outdoor skills, communication, responsibility and teamwork.
Leaders in Training is for Grade 11: July 3–August 2 or August 2–29, 2027. The applicant must submit their own personal LIT application; a parent or guardian cannot apply on their behalf. Participants must hold a valid eight-hour Emergency First Aid certificate. New and returning Summit campers are welcome. Training includes supervised cabin placements, workshops and an off-site camping experience. Confirm selection arrangements and any additional 2027 training dates with the operator.
Depending on program and group, activities include archery, climbing, mountain biking, outdoor living skills, crafts, nature exploration, orienteering, drama, music, sports and team challenges. Cabins are organized by registered program, grade and lived gender. Camp Summit is nut aware: personal food containing nuts, nut products or possible traces is prohibited. Campers with anaphylactic allergies must bring two appropriately dosed EpiPen or Allerject auto-injectors, one for the health centre and one carried by the camper. Bedwetting is not a reason for exclusion; families should discuss support with the camp. Phones are stored until departure.
