Camp Tamarack hosts summer day and overnight youth programs at 704081 Range Road 62 in the County of Grande Prairie, Alberta. The sessions below are historical 2026 offerings; they do not confirm a 2027 summer season. The operator welcomes diverse abilities and offers female, male and gender-inclusive cabin choices. Families should discuss individual support needs directly with the camp.

Age and grade rules matter: ages are measured at December 31, 2026, except Primary Camp, whose specific page requires children to be four before camp begins. Grades refer to the grade currently enrolled in or completed.

The 2026 youth programs included Primary Day or Overnight, ages 4–8 / PreK–Grade 2 (August 4–7); Try It Day Camp, ages 6–12 / K–Grade 6 (July 6–10); Adventure 1, ages 8–15 / Grades 2–9 (July 12–17); Adventure 2, ages 6–12 / K–Grade 6 (August 9–14); Stage & Studio, ages 8–15 / Grades 2–9 (July 19–24); Wild Ventures, ages 8–12 / Grades 2–6 (July 19–24); Kayak Adventure, ages 8–12 / Grades 2–6 (July 26–31); Sci-Ventures, ages 6–12 / K–Grade 6 (July 26–31); Mountain Bike Trail Riding, ages 6–12 / K–Grade 6 (August 9–14); and Teen Camp, ages 12–17 / Grades 6–11 (August 16–21).

Activities vary by program and choice stream. Camp offerings include archery, creative arts, theatre, music, dance, cooking, outdoor games, hiking, orienteering, shelter and fire skills, a climbing tower, giant swing and low ropes. Adventure Camp options include collaborative Dungeons & Dragons storytelling, creative arts, wilderness skills and Climbing Adventure. That focused climbing option is ages 9+, and its belay school is ages 12+. These limits do not replace the separate age-adapted climbing activities described for Primary Camp.

Wild Ventures includes an on-site tent camp-out and needs a packable sleeping bag, foam mat and bag for sleeping gear; a few loan mats may be available. Kayak Adventure uses professional instruction at Muskoseepi Pond followed by a Wapiti River trip, with afternoons back at Tamarack; campers must be comfortable in water and lifejackets are provided. Trail Riding takes place at Tamarack and requires confident independent bike riding; bikes and helmets are provided. Stage & Studio offers creative workshops and a family showcase. Sci-Ventures adds hands-on experiments and a dinosaur-museum field trip. Teen streams include Chill, Dungeons & Dragons, nature photography and Stage & Studio.

Tamarack has no swimmable water on the property. Overnight programs use local pools for an off-site swimming outing; day programs use water games. An 8:8 option for specified programs allows the full camp day and evening followed by sleeping at home. Try It Day Camp also described a limited optional Thursday overnight. Confirm current sessions, program-specific readiness, support arrangements, availability and any equipment needs with the operator.
