Kids Cancer Care hosts overnight summer programs at Camp Kindle, 29479 Range Road 61A, near Water Valley, Alberta. The camp is north of Highway 579, west of Highway 22. Box 280 and the foundation’s Calgary office are separate mailing or office addresses.

These are historical 2026 programs for children affected by childhood cancer or a parent’s cancer; they do not confirm a 2027 season. SunMaker/SunHaven, ages 7–14, ran July 13–17, July 20–24, August 10–14 and August 17–21.

SunChaser 1 is ages 15–16 (July 13–17 or August 17–21); SunChaser 2 is ages 16–17 (July 20–24). Both require completion of SunMaker or SunHaven.

SunSeeker programs are listed for ages 15–16. SunSeeker 1 (July 13–17 or July 20–24) requires completed SunMaker or SunHaven. SunSeeker 2 (August 10–21) builds on SunSeeker 1 skills. Active or maintenance treatment is welcome in SunChaser and SunSeeker 1; SunSeeker 2 cannot accept campers on active treatment.

Leadership Development, age 17, runs August 10–21 and requires completed SunSeeker or SunChaser plus an interview to secure a place.

Activities vary: swimming, ropes, crafts, climbing, games and campfires; SunSeeker adds cooking, outdoor skills, hiking, canoeing and horseback riding, with kayaking and multi-day camping in SunSeeker 2. Programs use Camp Kindle as their base, with excursions varying by program.

Confirm current eligibility, prior-program requirements, treatment-related participation conditions, dates and individual support arrangements directly with Kids Cancer Care. SunRise day camps take place at separate recreation-centre venues.
