Power To Be offers nature-based summer day camps at its Prospect Lake property, 4633 Prospect Lake Road in rural Saanich, British Columbia. Activities include canoeing, hiking, camp crafts and outdoor play. G.R. Pearkes Recreation Centre is a shuttle pickup point, not the camp venue.

Historical 2026 camps: Ferns, ages 7–11, July 13–17; Salal, ages 12–15, July 27–31. Both run 9 a.m.–4 p.m. The operator assesses age at the start of the school year; confirm the applicable school-year assessment directly rather than assuming age on the camp date. The summer 2026 season has ended and 2027 details are not yet confirmed.

These camps serve participants who identify a barrier to succeeding in other nature programs. Independent campers need low to moderate support; moderate to high needs require accompanying one-to-one support. Applicants must follow instructions, make sound risk decisions and want to participate actively outdoors. The operator cannot support dysregulation involving physical harm to the participant or others.

Selection considers unmet needs for skills, social connections or consistent programming, a positive attitude toward inclusion and respect for people and nature, and a demonstrated desire to build skills and connect with peers. Applications are assessed for group fit; admission is not automatic. Bursaries are available where cost is a barrier. Contact the program team through the official site about suitability, support, age assessment, transport and future camps.
