Shumka offered historical 2026 summer day camps at Shumka Dance Centre, 10515 111 Street NW, Edmonton, Alberta. The programme welcomed all skill levels and combined Ukrainian dance with creative and recreational activities. Exact 2027 camp dates and details are not yet confirmed.
Shumka Minis (ages 3–5) ran July 6–10, July 20–24 and August 24–28, 2026, from 9am–noon. The respective themes were Splish & Splash, Folklab and Uncharted. Minis used age-appropriate dance, crafts, songs, stories and games, with a final concert and art showcase. Minis did not require lunch and had no aftercare.
Full-day groups for ages 6–8 and 9–12 ran on the same three weeks, 9am–4pm, balancing three hours of Ukrainian dance instruction with three hours of activities daily. July 6–10 Splish, Splash & Dance included swimming and water outings; July 20–24 Folklab explored Ukrainian regional dance, art, costume elements and prop-making. August 24–28 Uncharted included river valley hikes, zoo and amusement-centre outings. Its ages 6–8 group had biking skills and laser tag; ages 9–12 had biking and paintball.
Transport to off-site activities was included. Full-day campers brought morning and afternoon snacks and lunch. Optional paid care ran 8–9am and 4–5pm; Minis had no aftercare. Confirm current registration, activity-specific equipment and support requirements directly with Shumka.
