St. Albert Canoe Kayak Club hosted historical 2026 summer day camps at Cardiff Lake, also described as Cardiff Trout Pond, in Sturgeon County, Alberta. Both Rainbow Paddle and Intro to Sprint Paddling were for ages 8–14. The club states that age exceptions may be possible and asks families to contact it to discuss an exception.

Rainbow Paddle offered one-week sessions July 6–10, July 13–17, July 20–24, July 27–31 and August 4–7, 2026. Intro to Sprint Paddling offered two-week sessions July 6–17 and July 20–31. Camps ran weekdays 9am–4pm, excluding statutory holidays.

Campers learned paddling safety and technique through canoeing, kayaking, dragon boating, introductory sprint paddling and off-water games. The two-week programme developed skills in smaller, faster flatwater canoes and kayaks. The club’s FAQ also identifies stand-up paddleboarding among its summer activities.

Participant information and a signed waiver were required before camp. The linked safety rules require paddlers age 16 and under to wear a personal flotation device on the water; the club provides PFDs, and paddlers may bring their own. The club is not responsible for supervision outside programme hours unless extended care has been arranged in advance with a coach. Weather can change water activities. Confirm future seasons, eligibility exceptions and registration details with the club; no 2027 camp is confirmed here.
