University of Alberta Green & Gold summer day camps use South Campus sport facilities, with sign-in at the Saville Community Sports Centre, 11610 65 Avenue NW in Edmonton. Tennis uses the Saville courts; some outdoor sport activities use other South Campus spaces. Confirm the meeting point in the programme’s registration email. North Campus camps and off-campus hockey venues have separate meeting locations.

The programme descriptions below are historical 2026 summer offerings. The university’s live main page says its 2027 schedule will be announced in January, with registration in February, subject to change. These 2026 sport and age combinations are not a confirmed 2027 schedule.

Basketball offered Explore groups for ages 6–8, 9–11 and 12–14; Engage groups for 9–11 and 12–14; and Excel groups for 12–14 and 15–18. Curling and track and field offered Explore groups for ages 6–8, 9–11 and 12–14, with Engage options for 12–14. Flag football offered Explore for ages 9–11 and 12–14 and Engage for 12–14. Volleyball offered Explore for 9–11 and 12–14, with Engage for 12–14; school or club competitive volleyball experience was expected for Engage.

Tennis offered Explore half-day camps for ages 6–8, with morning sessions from 8:45 a.m.–noon or afternoons from 1:00–4:15 p.m. Lunch supervision was provided when registered for both sessions. Ages 9–11 and 12–14 had full-day Explore or Engage tennis options. Girls on the Move was a girls-only multi-sport programme for ages 9–11 and 12–14.

Sport Leadership 101 was open to ages 12–14 without previous experience. It combined physical and mental training, teamwork, communication, goal setting, multi-sport participation and hands-on assistant-coaching opportunities. Participants travelled at least once between South and North Campus using LRT to work with other camps and spaces.

Explore programmes introduced skills without requiring previous sport experience. Engage expected some prior experience; Excel basketball expected a high level of experience. Consult camp staff about the specific registration age cutoff and any requested exception. Age ranges differ by sport and level.

Most Explore and Engage camp activities ran 8:45 a.m.–4:15 p.m., with drop-off 8:30–8:45 a.m. and pickup 4:15–4:30 p.m. Basketball Excel used a 9:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. activity day with different arrival and pickup windows. Optional Play More care was available for ages 6–14; confirm current times and booking.

Curlers ages 11 and under needed a CSA-approved helmet. Clean indoor shoes, suitable athletic clothing and programme-specific equipment were required; tennis racquets and curling brooms or sliders could be supplied where needed. Complete the camp information and informed-consent forms before participation and follow authorised QR-code sign-in/out procedures. Bring nut-free lunch, snacks, water and weather protection; the operator cannot guarantee an entirely nut-free environment. Discuss support needs, activity suitability, current dates, availability and policies directly with the camp.
