Whispering Pines Fellowship Centre and Camp hosts overnight summer programs on Range Road 25A just outside Elkwater, Alberta, in the Cypress Hills. The Medicine Hat post-office box and Hillcrest Church bus stop are separate from the physical camp venue. This operator is distinct from Whispering Pines Bible Camp.
The operator specifies grades already completed. Its historical 2026 sessions are Discovery, Grades 1–4, July 6–9; Pioneer, Grades 3–5, July 13–17; Trailblazer, Grades 4–6, July 20–24; Outbound, Grades 5–7, July 27–31; Expedition, Grades 6–8, August 3–7; and Pathfinder, Grades 8–11, August 10–14.
The LIT program is for ages 14–15. LIT 1 has two parts, July 6–9 and July 13–17, 2026; LIT 2 runs July 20–24 and July 27–31, 2026. Participants go home on the weekend. The two sessions repeat the same leadership program, and the operator recommends choosing one.
Activities vary by program: Discovery includes climbing, slingshots and archery; Pioneer includes climbing and campfires; Pathfinder includes mountain biking, beach time and night games. Christian chapel, singing and learning about Jesus form part of camp life, and LIT explores leadership through Jesus’ example. Campers stay in cabins.
The homepage says the 2026 summer has ended and welcomes campers back in 2027; the session dates and eligibility above remain historical 2026 information. Families from other faith backgrounds are welcome when comfortable with the Christian program. Discuss individual support needs and current eligibility, dates, activities and registration directly with the operator.
