Summer Day Camp was for ages 5–12, with Mini Movers ages 5–6, Jr. Explorers ages 7–8, Adventurers ages 9–10 and Trail Blazers ages 11–12. Confirm the applicable age measurement date and holiday arrangements directly with the operator.
Activities included recreational swimming, gymnasium and indoor play, the Rec Room, crafts, outdoor activities and field trips. Swimming was free play rather than swim lessons. Children aged 7 and under had to wear lifejackets in the pool; children 8 and older could take a swim test and needed a lifejacket if they declined or did not pass.
The published schedule was 8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m., with included pre-care from 7:30–8:30 a.m. and post-care from 4:30–5:30 p.m. The programme was not licensed child care and was not eligible for Alberta Child Care Subsidy; the YMCA had separate fee assistance options.
