The Saskatchewan Wildlife Federation hosts Youth Conservation Camp at the Hannin Creek Education & Applied Research Centre on Candle Lake, Saskatchewan. This week-long overnight program builds outdoor skills through archery, canoeing, fishing and fisheries studies, wildlife and plant identification, survival skills, fire building, camp cooking, map-and-compass navigation and outdoor ethics.
The historical 2026 program is for ages 12–14, with separate girls’ and boys’ sessions. Campers must be sponsored by an SWF branch. Youth apply through their local wildlife branch, which decides whether to sponsor them and submits successful applications. The 2026 applications are closed; the operator says to check back in January 2027 for next year’s details. This listing does not confirm 2027 dates or availability.
